1. What we store

Nothing. Not a single cookie, and nothing in local storage, session storage or any other browser storage. This is not a technicality or a careful form of words: you can check it yourself in about thirty seconds, and section 4 tells you how.

2. What we load from other companies

Also nothing. Every part of this page comes from our own domain: the text, the layout, the small amount of code that makes the "where does your week go" section interactive, and the typeface. Nothing on this site is fetched from anyone else, which means no other company learns that you visited, and nobody receives your IP address as a result of you reading this page.

That is a deliberate choice and it costs us something. Web fonts, analytics and an embedded booking calendar are all easier to bolt on than to do without. We took the booking calendar off this page in July 2026 for exactly this reason: embedding it meant a third party could put cookies on your device before you had decided anything.

3. If you click through to book a call

Our booking section has a link to calendly.com, which is a separate company that runs our calendar. It is a link, not an embed: nothing of Calendly's is loaded onto this page, and nothing of theirs touches your device unless you choose to click.

If you do click, you are on Calendly's website rather than ours. Calendly sets its own cookies there, including analytics ones, and shows you its own cookie banner so you can decide. That is between you and Calendly, on their domain, under their privacy notice. We do not receive anything from those cookies and cannot read them.

You never have to go there. Email eric@closedeck.co.uk with a couple of times that suit you and we will confirm one by return. Same call, same audit, no third party at all. We do not treat that route as second best.

What we do with your booking details, once you have made one, is a different question and it is answered in our privacy notice.

4. Do not take our word for it

Thirty seconds, in any browser:

1. Open this site in a private or incognito window.
2. Press F12 to open developer tools.
3. Open Application in Chrome or Edge, or Storage in Firefox.
4. Look under Cookies and Local Storage for this site. Both should be empty. Check the Network tab too: every request should be to closedeck.co.uk and nowhere else.

5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

There is nothing here for those signals to switch off. We do not track you, and we do not sell or share personal information. If we ever add anything such a signal would apply to, we will honour it and we will say so on this page before it goes live.

6. The rules this follows

Storing or reading anything on your device in the UK requires your prior consent, unless it falls into one of a small number of exceptions. That is regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

The exceptions cover things that are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for, and, since 5 February 2026, three narrow additions: counting how a site is used in order to improve it, remembering a setting you chose yourself, and enabling emergency assistance. Even those require us to tell you clearly what we are storing and to give you a free and simple way to opt out.

None of that applies to us, because we store nothing at all. The simplest way to comply with a rule about storing things on other people's devices is not to store anything, which is what we have done. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
